The nomination is a tribute to an extraordinary collaboration between Balk Shipyard and Mulder Design, who together transformed Ursus into something truly exceptional. Over the course of 18 months, the yacht was extended by six metres to a sleek 30-metre vessel, with her bow and stern completely reimagined. The result is a yacht that feels entirely new, yet retains the soul of the original — a balance that is as rare as it is beautiful.

Every detail was considered. A redesigned beach club, an elegant new bow seating area, and upgraded crew facilities sit alongside a suite of cutting-edge technical innovations: new diesel-electric pod drives, a dynamic positioning system, Furuno navigation, and a hull optimised through CFD calculations for outstanding seakeeping. The exterior was finished in a striking Batumi Gold, with FSC-certified teak decks completing the picture.

Relaunched in 2025 to the delight of her owners, Ursus now takes her place among the finest rebuilt yachts in the world, and her nomination at the World Superyacht Awards 2026 in Venice is a well-deserved reflection of that achievement.
